A Little Book of Grief – a handbook

 

Artist statement:

This book is made to be held.  Made to be cupped in the hands, rocked, let slip gently through the grasp so that the texture and gradations can be felt, so the patterns of grief can be seen in all their variation. This is a book for contemplation, for staring at and not seeing, for numb thoughts, for treasuring the present, for aching, for loving, for missing.

Materials: paper, ink, thread, glass beads.  Dimensions :30cm X 4cm x 6cm
